What is the Leadership Institute?
Georgia's Leadership Institute for School Improvement is
a partnership devoted to the success of Georgia's
educational leaders in meeting elevated expectations for
student achievement and school performance.
Our Mission
GLISI
equips, supports, and inspires educational leaders to
drive change for student success.
Our Challenge
GLISI
helps educational leaders master the new work of
leadership of school improvement. We support systemic
changes that create an environment for success for
students, teachers and staff, leaders and their
organizations, and for Georgia.
Our Approaches
GLISI
focuses on leadership development, policy
influence, and research and analysis to support and
equip educational leaders to drive change for student
success.
History and Goals
The Institute was designed by a cross-functional team of
experts in organizational and educational performance
improvement from business, higher education, K-12
education and educational support organizations. GLISI began operations in March 2002.
