Executive Development
Georgia's Leadership Institute for School Improvement research shows a critical need for high-quality executive development of superintendents, principals, and aspiring district leaders as they embark upon the process of focused school improvement. GLISI's Executive Development Training Series provides performance tools that can help your district achieve all of its goals. The GLISI Executive Development Series has four components:
- Balanced Scorecard training: Use performance measures to track more than just test scores
- Performance-based training modules: Take your team from concept to implementation of performance leadership with six self-guided instructional modules
- Demonstration site visits: Tour districts that have implemented Balanced Scorecards to see what a functioning "data room" looks like and learn first-hand how they did it
- Consulting and coaching: Schedule individualized consulting for your district
The Executive Development Series adapts the best of the business models for organizational improvement for schools to use, starting with mission, vision, and values to leading your team through process improvement and mapping, developing performance measures, cascading the Balanced Scorecard, and communicating with your stakeholders.
