Our resources and tools have been used and tested with the majority of our clients and receive rave reviews. An online community in which a variety of stakeholders can contribute to the learning and development of an incumbent or aspiring leader. Provides virtual meeting space where performers, supervisors, coaches, district leaders, and university representatives can communicate, suggest learning experiences, schedule activities, note completion and sign-off. Provides an electronic portfolio that performers can use to share their contact information, resume, and evidence of performance.

Performance-based Modules (PBMs)

Performance learning tools that can be used by individuals or groups to learn and practice key school improvement techniques and processes and demonstrate proficiency. Provide step-by-step instruction on over 70 education processes, and criteria against which to assess performance. Uses a model of practice, feedback against performance criteria, and final assessment so that leaders and their supervisors are confident that performance has been mastered. PBMs are organized around GLISI’s The 8 Roles of School Leaders™, provide curriculum for leadership coaches, and are available at no cost to all Georgia educators.  Read more about Performance-based Modules (PBMs) »

Promising Practices™

The Promising Practices™ tool is a template used to tell a “story” that describes one school team’s success in setting and attaining an improvement goal. The tool is a way for you to share your school improvement success, to find out how other schools have dealt with their challenges, and to learn from their successful strategies.  Read more about Promising Practices »

GLISI Research

GLISI and the University of Georgia through the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy has worked together for two years on different research agendas.  Year 2 focused on "Distilling Next Generation Practices in Leadership Development" and "A Call to Action for Research in Educational Leadership that Matters to the State of Georgia."  Led by Dr. Sally J. Zepeda the two studies were conducted through in-depth quantitative and qualitative research with the help of several UGA Research Assistants.  The Executive Summaries of the two studies are linked below.  To find out more information, please contact Gale Hulme at gale.hulme@glisi.org.
